MicroSpike® | Idea to Installation
Plenty of companies talk about the strength of their products, but for engineered geomembranes and geotextiles, strength is not just claimed but calculated. AGRU develops high-quality plastics solutions for a range of industries, from waste management and water conservation to mining and energy. In this video, you'll learn how AGRU MicroSpike is manufactured, tested, and installed.
[Case Study] Annacis Island Waste Water Treatment Facility
AGRU Sure-Grip and Ultra Grip have been in active use throughout Metro Vancouver’s wastewater treatment and collection system since the 1990s, lining the digesters, pipes, and more. The new process concrete basins currently under construction by the Graham/AECON Joint Venture at Annacis are being lined with Ultra Grip.
Creating a Sustainable Piping Solution
Vice President of AGRULINE Melissa Grace discusses how engineers can design a more sustainable piping solution.
AGRU Celebrates First Ocean Tow of XXL Pipe
AGRU, which produces the world’s largest-diameter HDPE pipe, recently celebrated the maiden voyage of its record-breaking XXL Pipe at the AGRU XXL Pipe Production Facility.
[Case Study] Tailings Storage Facility (TSF)
This tailings storage facility, or TSF, in northern Nevada has now selected AGRU MicroSpike geomembrane liner for three phases of its expansion. So far, this facility has included almost 9 million square feet of AGRU liner.
Industrial Applications of Concrete Protective Liner
Concrete protective liners are also widely used in industry. These industries can encompass anything from chemical plants to aquaculture. Learn more.

Concrete Protective Liner is a thermoplastic geo membrane, or membrane, or liner that has locking extensions or anchors on one side. Watch webinar:
[Case Study] Barrick Cortez Water Storage Reservoir
A pond for water storage at the Cortez mine was built in the late 1980’s out of a very flexible material VLDPE. The material had excellent elongation and weldability properties but offered limited resistance to solar and UV, causing it to break down rapidly when exposed to sunlight. The VLDPE liner was removed and replaced with high density polyethylene but this material also proved to be prone to breakdown, causing leakage through the double liner.
[Case Study] Waste Water Treatment Plant Expansion
The core product for the project consisted of 450,000 square feet of AGRU 60 mil HDPE geomembrane and 39,900 square feet of cushion geotextile.
